In 2009, I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. After 16 days in the NICU, we got to bring him home.

I never lost my baby weight, after having him and I went on to spend five years miserable, depressed and overweight. I knew I was heavier than I should be. As a teenager, I had a small frame and I wanted nothing more than to be that size once again.

I tried so many things. I tried things that worked before, watching what I ate, tried to become a runner, even turned to the HCG diet, eating a measly 500 calories a day. Nothing worked.

After having my second child, I set out for a better life for myself and my children. I committed to losing the weight, and for good.

At 5 months postpartum, I cut out gluten and began eating more whole foods. What I really lacked was energy, I was exhausted before lunch.

I started on a Herbalife nutrition plan and ended up losing 40 pounds, 5 dress sizes and I have never been happier. The simple meal plan allowed me to gain energy and gradually increase my activity, and the weight fell off a pound at a time.
